I learned that alcohol can be very dangerous if you abuse it or dink it under age, you could easily gamble away your life by drinking and driving with having high likeness that you will get very injured or possibly killed. Alcohol may be enjoyable but the harsh truth is it damages us on the inside and can cause many infections or diseases, or cause pains and sickness if you drink it way too much.
one drink seems like it may not hurt but one leads to 4 in no time and before you know it you could blackout or get a hangover.

Existentialism applies to me as finding your purpose or essence can be hard and for me I sometimes feel I never will, some people develop it at a young age but others like me never really know what they are meant to do or what their purpose is.

Game Journalism Day 8

Today I attempted to restart and see how far I get. I thought I would had about half a base done but I could not find any nails and I ended up with just this in my in my inventory in half an hour:

How to play the game: To play this game you must have a crap ton of patience and be very good at being aware of your surroundings, you can pretty much die at any time so make sure to be careful. When you load into the game make sure to reload your pistol to fill it, as well as gather some wood right away, try to aim to make a base ASAP to put a command unit in which will show you where your base is on the map, to get materials walk around finding loot boxes, collecting fibers and fruit while avoiding bears and wolfs.

During my journey i encountered AI hunters which try to kill me as I'm wandering around I advise avoiding them unless you can kill them or have a wolf nearby.

The base command unit makes a beacon which shows where your base is which is very useful, it also allows you to use a lock pick!

Some tips I have for today is to not die while having your command unit in your inventory...I learned that the hard way. Another tip I have is to get protein when possible, which is hard as you may have to kill a wolf which if your not careful, you will die. And the last tip of the day is to not try and jump large gaps thinking you can make it because you will most likely die.... trust me. :/

Game Journalism Day 3

My goal for today was to build a camp, unfortunately due to wolves and bears, I lost all of my resources I gathered for a solid 20 minutes. Wolves and bears in this game I feel have too much health or do too much damage, as they are near impossible to kill with your beginner stuff which means to survive you have to run and hide from everything. I started over 3 times and on my third try I ended off with a platform and a beacon. My first life i needed more fiber and I had tons of nails, my second life I needed tons of nails and more wood, and my third life I had enough of everything but I was still a bit low on nails so I could not build the walls and door.

To make a camp i recommend running around looking for nails and fiber and gather as much wood as possible. Start with making the platform, then make the walls and a door, and finish with the roof. While gathering loot try your hardest not to get near a wolf or bear as you will 8 times out of 10 die and lose everything. Camps are a good way to store your items, and have a safe place during the night, but be aware of the hunters and raiders that may try to kill you and take your stuff.

Game Journalism Day 2

Today I had a ton of fun with this game, i got resources, got a loot box, challenged a bear, died. Basically everything I enjoy in a survival game, this game had.
                                                            
I ended up surviving the night surprisingly, I created a campfire and sat on a rock all night which apparently worked.

Then I died in the morning... I attempted to kill a wolf.

The environment looked awesome in this game even though my graphics were at low.

The mountains in the background really added a cool effect.

I found a loot bag and got some pretty sick stuff, sadly i only found one.

I came across a wolf and a bear which i cautiously tried to fight...and failed.

each tree seems to give around 3-4 wood which is pretty good since how easy it is to get wood and how many trees are around.

My tips to everyone is to be cautious at the beginning until you get some good enough weapons to fight the animals with.

I would say my first day of gameplay was amazing, I really enjoy the game and recommend giving it a try, it is very fun and I am especially looking forward to multiplayer so i can enjoy the game with my friends as well!

What is the definition of the title of the game: the action or fact of maintaining or supporting oneself at a minimum level.
Description of the game: Subsistence is a First person, sandbox, survival game with multiplayer in the makings. You have to build shelters and gather food to survive, and gather materials to craft and build.
Who made the game: The game was developed and published by ColdGames founded by Tom Shaw. Subsistence is his only game he has developed so far. http://store.steampowered.com/app/418030/
What type of game is it: Subsistence is a first person sandbox survival game similar to games like minecraft, rust, hurtworld, Ark, and Firewatch.
Early access meaning: Early access is a game that is available to play yet is still in development and will be worked on until the developers fix every bug, glitch and errors and make the game reach its goals and expectations the developers had.
Features about the game: The game has crafting, building, AI hunters, Animals such as bears, wolves, chickens, etc. The game has a temperature aspect showing how cold or warm it is, the game has food, water, Bandages, berries etc.The first thing you should do, and what to expect: The first the you should do is gather materials and food and make a shelter before dark. you should expect Bears, wolves and possibly hunters to attack you, and be aware of your surroundings. Gather enough food and water to last you the night and make sure you have a fire set so you will not freeze to death.

My layer style I used to make the iris was the gradient overlay tool.
I Turned the blend mode to normal, Style to radial, gradient to whatever colour I want, then i changed the opacity.




To overlay a picture of stars onto an image, you put the star image over top of the other image in layer order, then you shift click the layer of the hand, then shift+ctrl+I, to crop out the surrounding star background image to make the stars be over top of your other image/shape. For example with the hand project you would do that to make the galaxy be over top of the hand then change the opacity of the galaxy to make the hand layer more visible.

Friday Post 

This week i worked on Khan Academy learning more on animation and text, I also learned Photoshop and how to make Moon images with shadows, lighting, and a campfire, i also made a dolphin underwater gif.

I also learned how to use the blending tool
and the timeline tool, as well as the render tools.

some short cuts i learned were "Shift-ctrl-t" "ctrl-d" "ctrl-i" and "ctrl (image)"

To animate using Photoshop I used the timeline tool and used the stop watch button at the beginning, middle and the ending, changing the position or lighting or shadows at each one to create a Gif.

I wish my teacher knew how to make a Online First person shooter game because that would be pretty impressive.
